With the holiday period soon upon us we at Healthcare Venues and Compliant Venues have spared a little thought for those that are less able to provide for themselves at this time of the year. So, instead of filling your inbox with an e-card or confusing you by receiving something through the mail, remember that !! …… we have donated the equivalent money to two charities, The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and the World Wildlife fund. Welcome to Simon Beard

We are pleased to welcome Simon Beard to the team. Simon has spent over 20 years in the meetings industry working with some of the UK’s best known event agencies including Zibrant, W&O, BCD and Universal.

For the past 10 years, Simon has worked predominantly on healthcare meetings and brings additional practical compliance experience to the team.

Simon, with a wry expression as he looked at our training manual, said “I am very excited to be joining Compliant Venues and utilizing the experience gained working on healthcare meetings for companies such as Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Animal Health, Novo Nordisk, Lundbeck and Sanofi Aventis.” He will now use all of this experience as we expand our assessment, consultancy and training solutions for venues and specialist agencies.

On-line Training Portal Launched for Healthcare Sector Meetings and Events

After a 6-month development phase

We are proud and “exhausted” to announce the 1st phase launch of our on-line training portal. This sophisticated learning management system allows us to support our partners in providing on-demand education for meetings and events. Bringing specialist advice on board we have created the characters you can see here to help us tell our educational story with video and interactive gaming content to help people learn.

Our platform is supported by face to face sessions, monthly hints and tips and WebEx sessions to ensure that learning is embedded and reinforces the use of the skills developed on a day to day basis

ABPI Code of Practice 2014 Amendment

Amendments to the Code of Practice came into force on the 20th November 2014.

There were some amendments and additions to clause 22 (previously known as clause 19), Meetings, Hospitality and Sponsorship.
